

I'm not sure who else has already blogged about this masterwork, but Joakim's new album (due out on K7 in September), is a ferocious piece of genius. Musically terrifically diverse, Milky Ways (SUCH A GOOD TITLE) meanders a path somewhere between dance, post-punk, and "out there", somehow managing to carve it's own perfect story into a tradition forged by Television, ESG and more recently, Liars and his own Monsters and Silly Songs. While not necessarily appropriate for the club (unless you want to seriously creep everyone out, which can be incredibly enjoyable), the album is smart, interesting and above all, WHOLE, meant to be played the entire way through.
